Announcement: Carol Frey Wolfe retires

Dear partners and community —

It is with a grateful heart that I announce my retirement as the president and CEO of the Frey Foundation. I have spent nearly 20 years working at our family foundation in some capacity. Over this time, I’ve had the deep honor of sharing my parents’ generosity with many deserving Twin Cities nonprofit partners. The people whom I’ve met during this time have inspired me with their tireless work and dedication. I also want to thank our wonderful staff at Frey Foundation and Wabash Capital.

I am very pleased to announce that Flor Frey, a member of the third generation of our family and current staff member, has been elected president of the foundation by our board effective immediately. We are thrilled to see Gene and Mary’s legacy continue and we wish Flor all the best in her new position. It’s extremely gratifying to see this next generation sharing our passion and excitement in continuing our founders’ mission.

I will continue in my role as a board director and hope that our paths cross again in the near future. I plan to participate in site visits when available, stay active in local board work, and enjoy more free time.

Thank you for your part in making the Twin Cities a better place to live!

Sincerely,

Carol Frey Wolfe
