How to Access the Frey Foundation Portal

Frey Foundation uses Fluxx as its grant management platform. Letters of inquiry are created and submitted within the portal, as are grant applications and evaluations.

User accounts must be linked to their respective organizations within the Fluxx system. Multiple user accounts may view and work on the same forms once they are all connected to the organization.

LOIs may be started and worked on immediately once a user account is set up, but cannot be submitted until the user account is connected to the organization. This process must be completed manually by Foundation staff, and it may take up to 2 business days. If it has been more than a week since creating an account, and it is not yet connected to an organization, please contact email@FreyFoundationMN.org.

Reminder: There are no longer deadlines associated with LOI submission deadlines; LOI submission will be reviewed on a rolling basis and are no longer tied to specific grant cycles.

1. At https://freyfoundationmn.fluxx.io/, click on the button that says ‘Create an Account’.

 2. Complete the eligibility questions. If an eligibility criterion is not met, the system will indicate such, and end the quiz. In total, there are five eligibility questions. Please answer them accurately because they cannot be changed after registration.

3. Upon successful completion of the eligibility questions, enter the organization’s Employer Identification Number (EIN) in the “GuideStar Profile Lookup” box, and press “Search” to the right of the box. Confirm the correct organization in the pop-up box and press the “Yes” button. This will auto-fill the organizational information on the registration form.

4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and fill in the fields under “Primary Contact” for the primary user of the individual account.

5. Click the “Submit Request” button.

6. A verification email is sent within a few minutes to the email address used to register (check spam folder). Click the emailed verification link to set up the account password. Enter and confirm the password to log in.

7. Click the “Start a Letter of Inquiry” button to begin answering the letter of inquiry (LOI) questions. The system does not auto save so please click “Save” often. The LOI will show up under “Pending Inquiries” on the left menu once it has been saved.

Note: An LOI can be started immediately upon logging in but cannot be submitted until the user account has been manually connected to the organization within the system. It may take up to 2 business days for Frey Foundation staff to manually complete this. Once connected, the organization will appear in the top left corner of the side menu.

8. Take the time to completely and comprehensively answer each question on the Letter of Inquiry. Once it is complete, and ready to be submitted, click the “Save and Close” button at the bottom of the form and then the “Submit” button in the lower right corner.

Note: Once submitted, an LOI can be viewed but can no longer be edited.
